The family of a minor girl who was hit and killed by the vehicles of the presidential guards in eastern Laghman province received financial support from the government.

Provincial government media office said the minor girl Salma was seriously wounded in a traffic incident involving the presidential guards’ vehicles.

The statement further added that Salma succumbed ot her injuries after she was admitted to hospital.

The statement further added that provincial governor Mohammad Asif Nang, Laghman intelligence chief Mohammad Hassan Shahnawaz, head of the religious clerics council Mawlavi Obaidullah Alokozai, and some other government and military officials also participated in the funeral of Salma.

According to the provincial government, the family of the deceased girl received financial support from the government during the day of the incident as well as during her funeral ceremony.

According to the local officials, the girl was injured as the convoy of the presidential security guard was crossing the area on Monday during President Ghani’s visit to the province.
