An explosion ripped through the vehicle of a private television channel in Kabul leaving at least 27 people dead or wounded.

Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the incident took place at around 5:30 pm local time today.

Rahimi further added that the explosives were planted in the mini-bus which was carrying the workers of Khurshid TV Channel.

He said the explosion took place in the 5th Street of Taimani in Kabul city which left 2 people dead and 4 others wounded.

Furthermore, Rahimi said the explosion killed the driver of the bus and a local commuter dead and 4 other people wounded.

No individual or group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility for the incident.
