Explosion rocks Mosque in Pul-e-Khumri, Afghanistan

Local sources have reported an explosion at a mosque in the second district of Pul-e Khumri city, Baghlan province. According to sources, this explosion occurred during Friday prayers at the “Imam Zaman” mosque.

The report has stated that the explosion occurred in a Shia mosque, leading to the tragic loss of life and injuries among worshippers. Unfortunately, the exact number of casualties stemming from this incident remains unknown.

As a result of a suicide attack at the Imam Zaman Mosque in Pul-e Khumri, Baghlan Province, seven people died, and another 15 individuals were injured.

According to the information department in Baghlan province, due to a suicide attack at the Imam Zaman Mosque located on the first street of Silo City in Pul-e Khumri, during Friday prayers, seven worshippers died, and 15 others were injured.

On a Friday afternoon, an explosion occurred on Silo Road in the second district of Pul-e Khumri city. Local sources have indicated that the explosion resulted from a planted bomb, suggesting a deliberate act of sabotage or violence in the area.

According to the report, the injured individuals were transported to the local hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, following the explosion, there were reports that Taliban members had arrived at the scene, suggesting their involvement or interest in the incident.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this explosion.
