According to local authorities in northern Baghlan province at least 5 Afghan local police forces were killed following roadside bomb explosion in this province.
The incident took place at Alauddin Bala area at central Baghlan district around 4:00 pm local time after a local police Ranger vehicle struck with a roadside bomb.
Provincial security Gen. Asadullah Shirzad confirmed the incident however he did not disclose further information regarding the exact number of casualties as result of the explosion.
In the meantime local residents said at least 5 Afghan local police forces including an Afghan local police commander recognized as Dadullah was killed during the incident.
No group including the Taliban militants have so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
