An explosion ripped through the vehicle of Hajj and Religious Affairs Ministry in Kabul city earlier today injuring at least ten people.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement confirmed that the incident took place at around 7:45am local time in 2nd police district of Kabul city.

The statement further added that the explosion injured at least ten people.

No individual or group including Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Today’s explosion in Kabul takes place a day after unknown gunmen shot dead a prominent religious scholar in Kabul city. The unknown gunmen killed Mawlavi Shabir Ahmad Kamawi two days after another religious cleric was killed in an explosion in Kabul.
