Sources in Kandahar province, which had previously confirmed explosions in the province, say that this explosion also resulted in casualties.

According to a source, on Monday, May 20, an explosion occurred at the ‘Kabul Station’ in the central district of this province, resulting in several deaths and injuries.

Mullah Asadullah Jamshid, spokesperson for the security command in Kandahar, also confirmed the explosion and stated that one civilian was killed and three others were injured.

Media outlets, citing their sources in Kandahar, have reported that yesterday’s explosion was caused by a planted mine in a stall resulting in 6 deaths and over 10 injuries.

So far, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for this attack.

It is worth noting that this is the second explosion to occur in Kandahar since the beginning of the current solar year.

A suicide attack on the 21st of March occurred in the first district of Kandahar city, resulting in over 45 deaths and 56 others injured.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack during the March in Kandahar.

ISIS has been a major challenge to the Taliban since they seized control of Afghanistan, and there are several allegations by the Taliban that Pakistan supports ISIS, while Pakistani officials deny it.
