At least three civilians were killed and eleven others were injured following a roadside bomb explosion in western Ghor province of Afghanistan.
The incident took place in Dolaina district on Friday evening after a civilian vehicle struck a roadside improvised explosive device (IED).
Provincial governor spokesman Abdulhai Khatibi confirming the report said a vehicle carrying passengers for a wedding ceremony struck a roadside bomb in Barkhol village, killing three civlians injuring eleven others.
The vehicle was on its way to Shahrak district when the incident took place. at least four civilians injured in the blast are in critical condition, Abdulhai Khatibi said.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
Local officials blame Taliban group for the incident as Taliban fighters frequently use improvised explosive device (IED) as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan and coalition security forces which normally leads to civilian casualties.
