At least two civilians were injured following an explosion in northern Kunduz province on Monday.
According to local government officials, the incident took place in the city of Kunduz, targeting an Afghan army vehicle.
Provincial police spokesman, Syed Sarwar Hussaini confirmed that a magnetic improvised explosive device (IED) planted in an army vehicle went off around 11:00 am local time.
Hussaini further added that the Afghan army officers did not suffer any casualties following the blast.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
Kunduz is among the relatively volatile provinces in northern Afghanistan where anti-government armed militants are actively operating in a number of its districts and frequently carry out insurgency activities.
