Media reports confirm that in the aftermath of an explosion in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, one police officer was killed, and two others were injured.

Pakistani media have reported that the individual who lost their life in the aftermath of this incident was a dedicated police officer specializing in counterterrorism.

According to foreign media reports, this incident occurred on Sunday in the Qudzar region, a part of the Balochistan province in Pakistan.

Furthermore, reports indicate that this incident took place shortly this afternoon, resulting in injuries to two military officers as well.

Although precise details about the explosion are still emerging, the Balochistan state police informed the newspaper Dawn that today’s explosion was caused by a mine planted in the military officer’s vehicle.

Officials in Balochistan state have said that an investigation is underway, but no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.

This comes after earlier reports from Pakistani media stated that three children were injured due to an explosion in Warsak, Peshawar.

Meanwhile, Pakistani authorities have called on the Afghan Taliban to address the issue of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) operating from Afghan territory.

They have expressed concerns about the TTP using Afghan soil for their activities. In response, the Afghan Taliban has denied these allegations, asserting their commitment to preventing any individual or group from launching attacks on neighbouring countries from Afghan territory.
