The sound of an explosionw as heard in Kabul city shortly after the First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum returned to Kabul from Turkey.
The Kabul Security Commandment officials are saying at least 11 people have been killed and at least 14 others have sustained injuries in the suicide attack in Kabul city later this afternoon.
The officials are saying that a suicide bomber detonated his explosives close to the entrance gate of Hamid Karzai International Airport, minutes after the First Vice President had left the airport after his arrival to the capital.
However, another security source says at least thirty people have been killed and more than 30 others have sustained injuries in the attack.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility behind the attack.
