There are no reports regarding the casualties so far, and eye witnesses in the area are saying that gunshots are still heard from the site of explosion.
According to reports, Afghan interior minister, Omar Dauzai, Afghan Senate Chairman and other high level government officials were present in the compound when the incident took place.
Deputy provincial governor for Ghazni province, Mohammad Ali Ahmadi said two rockets landed near the provincial government compound, where a gathering of high level government officials had taken place.
Mr. Ahmadi further added that no one was killed or injured following the attack.
He said Afghan interior minister Omar Daudzai, Afghan senate chairman Fazal Hadi Muslimyar and independent human right chief Seema Samar had attended the gathering.
Ahmadi also added that the meeting participants were discussing preparations for the upcoming event which is scheduled to be organized for the introduction of Ghazni province as the capital of Islamic civilization.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
