This week, the European Union hosted the third meeting of the special representatives and envoys of Central Asian nations and the European Union for Afghanistan in Brussels.
The delegations from Central Asian countries and the EU discussed the situation in Afghanistan and regional security.
Apart from the current situation in Afghanistan, the meeting also reviewed the way to cooperate between the parties to ensure continued assistance to the people of Afghanistan amid the humanitarian crisis.
According to the statement, the participants also raised concerns over banning Afghan females from higher education and working with international communities and their fundamental rights in Afghanistan.
During the second meeting, which was held on May 31, 2022, the participants agreed to continue holding dialogue in this format regularly; as a result, the third meeting was held in Brussels this week.
Then, the Republic of Kazakhstan delivered 456,000 tons of flour last year to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the meeting concluded with Kazakhstan’s proposals to create a regional centre for sustainable development in Central Asia-Afghanistan, which would help to improve the effectiveness of international aid to the Afghan people, The Astana Times reported.
