Elon Musk, the owner of Social Media Platform X, formerly known as Twitter, recently said that this social network may no longer be accessible and may be required to pay a “small fee.”
Mr Musk made this statement on Monday during a conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel.
According to him, charging this fee is to combat problems caused by bots on the platform, but the official X, formerly known as the Twitter account, responded to this news by saying it is merely a suggestion from Mr Musk.
The network must still clarify when or if this change will be implemented.
In their conversation, Netanyahu asked Musk when online anti-Semitism and racial hatred would be stopped.
Elon Musk responded by stating that X is moving towards monthly charges to be able to combat a large army of bots.
The owner of this social network has yet to specify the fee amount.
According to experts, Elon Musk is considering monetizing X network or the former Twitter.
After purchasing the Twitter social network for $44 billion, Mr Musk receives a monthly fee of $8 from users with a blue checkmark.
