Afghanistan is a disaster prone-region, including earthquakes, landslides, floods, heavy rain and avalanches.

The recent repeated tremors in the country, particularly in Faizabad’s capital city of Badakhshan, have increased the concern of local people.

The lack of a disaster management system and response has caused severe damage in the country, including the northern and northeast.
