Dozens of miners are feared dead after a gold mine tunnel collapsed in Badakhshan province in Northeastern parts of the country.
The provincial officials are saying that initial reports indicate at least thirty people have died after the gold mine tunnel collapsed in Kohistan district.
The officials further added that the incident has also left at least fifteen others wounded.
According to the local officials, the incident took place while the workers were busy in excavation work in a gold mine reserve.
Mohamad Rustam, the district administrative chief of Kohistan has confirmed that at least fifty people were busy in excavation work when the incident took place.
