The First Vice President General Abdul Raziq met with the provincial security chief of Kandahar General Abdul Raziq, the former intelligence chief Rahmatullah Nabil, and and some other key political figures in Kabul.

The Office of the First vice President in a statement said the other key political figures who met Gen. Dostum included the deputy house speaker Humayoun Humayoun, Kandahar MP Lalai Hamidzai, Khalid Pashtun, and Ataullah Habib.

The statement further added that the political figures expressed happiness regarding the return of the First Vice President to Afghanistan.

They also emphasized that the presence of the First Vice President would have a positive impact on peace, stability, and security of the country, the statement.

According to the Office of the First Vice President, the participants of the meeting also held talks regarding the current situation of the country and objectives of the Grand National Coalition.

They also emphasized that the upcoming parliamentary, districts councils, and presidential elections must be held in a free and fair manner, the statement by the First Vice President’s Office added.

This comes as the Gen. Raziq had earlier met with another key member of the Grand Coalition of Afghanistan Ata Mohammad Noor in Kabul.
