The First Vice President of the Unity Government Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum lashed out at President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in his Eid message, blaming him for the deteriorating security situation in the country.

In his speech after Eid prayers, Dostum said the ‘totalitarianism’ approach by the government was to blame for the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan.

Dostum further added that President Ghani wants to maintain the ‘abnormal’ situation in the country.

Furthermore, Dostum said the President uses the slogan of the fight against the ‘bullying’ while he himself is one of the major violators of the law and has been bullying since the establishment of the unity government.

In other parts of his speech, Dostum expressed regrets over Amrullah Saleh’s decision to join Ghani’s team, emphasizing that Saleh was opposing the actions and views of the team which he has joined.

Meanwhile, Dostum claimed that the Stability and Partnership led by Abdullah Abdullah will launch major campaigns across the country for the upcoming presidential elections.

He also claimed that the leaders of some electoral and political figures will join the Stability and Partnership team.
