A deadly explosion rocked eastern Ghazni city early Sunday morning, killing and injuring several people.

According to reports the incident took place after a civilian transport bus hit a roadside bomb in Bazarcha-e-Shahbaz area in Ghazni city.

Local security officials confirming the report said at least 4 people including an Afghan woman were killed and more than 10 others were injured.

In the meantime chief of the provincial hospital Baz Mohammad Hemat said the dead toll could rise.

No group including the Taliban militants have so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.

Taliban militants and other insurgents groups frequently use improvised explosive device to target Afghan and coalition security forces which normally leads to civilians casualties.
