arrested in AfghanistanAfghan intelligence — National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Sunday announced, at least seven suspected suicide bombers and militants were arrested in capital Kabul.

The National Directorate of Security following a statement said the suicide bombers were arrested during an operation in Chel Setun area of Kabul city on Saturday.

NDS in its statement further added that two suicide bombers were injured during clashes with the Afghan intelligence forces.

According to NDS officials the suicide bombers and militants belonged to Haqqani terrorist Network, and were looking to carry out coordinated attacks on Afghan parliament, Afghan intelligence department, Afghan finance ministry and Serena Hotel.

NDS also added that Afghan security forces seized some weapons, ammunitions and explosives from the detains militants and suicide bombers.

The detained suicide bombers have confessed to their crimes during the preliminary investigations, the national directorate of security (NDS) said adding that the bombers received military and insurgency trainings in Tal and Miranshah area in Pakistan tribal region.
