The Head of the Administrative Office of the President (AOP) Mr. Daud Noorzai has stepped down from his position.

According to a statement by the Administrative Office of the President, after one year of serving as the Head of AOP, Mr. Noorzai has tendered his resignation, effective immediately, to commence the next chapter of his career.

Th statement further adds that the new Head of the Office of the President, Mr. Sayed Abdul Wahid Qatali, has been appointed by H.E. the President and we are looking forward to working closely with him to further the vision of H.E. the President

According to AOP, Mr. Noorzai strived relentlessly to build on the progress the government has made, and continue the reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan. He has led a dedicated team and has been an active supporter of youth to ensure a fresh pool of educated people are given a chance to grow and serve Afghanistan.

Mr. Noorzai spearheaded the development of systems, processes, and policies that have contributed to an institutionalization of good governance, anti-corruption, and reform practices, according to the Administrative Office of the President.
