The foreign ministers of eight Islamic countries held a meeting in Turkey, calling for an end to Israeli attacks and demanding an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza.

In a statement, the D-8 group urged member countries to take all necessary actions to address the situation.

The summit of the economic cooperation organization of eight Islamic countries, known as the D-8 group, concluded on Saturday, June 8, in Istanbul.

The statement also called on countries to halt the supply of weapons and ammunition to Israel.

The statement reads, “D-8 members will use all tools, capabilities, and rights in their legitimate struggle to liberate all occupied territories.”

Turkey, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Bangladesh make up the D-8, the organization of developing Islamic countries.

The joint statement emphasized that a just, sustainable, and inclusive peace is the only way to ensure regional security and stability and protect against violence and war.

D-8 members, advocating a two-state solution, declared lasting peace impossible without ending Israeli attacks and resolving tensions, condemning these actions as “contrary to moral and human principles.”
