Ministry of Health reported, two lives lost due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Reports indicate, 24 cases of COVID-19 out of 209 samples were tested positive, which increased the infected toll across the country to 1,420 patients.

The reported positive cases include Herat Nine Cases, Kandahar One, Ghor 13, and in Laghman, One person is registered positive in the past 24 hours.  

20 patients in 24 hours made it to recovery, Ministry reports.

Total positive cases in the country have reached to 38,544 individuals.

Today, Akmal Samsor a spokesperson to the health ministry said in a press conference, that according to global forecast, the increase of COVID-19 in winters can become a deadly wave, catching flue in the winters and rising air pollution can increase the risk of the virus.

He asked people with diabetes, high blood pressure, and the elders to take common cold vaccine shots for decreasing the risk of contracting COVID-19.
