Afghan Intelligence — National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Thursday announced to detain seven suspected suicide bombers in capital Kabul on Wednesday night.
NDS officials said the suicide bombers were looking to carry out coordinated attacks in capital Kabul.
The suicide bombers were arrested from 17th district of capital Kabul following a military operation around 11am local time, NDS officials said.
National Directorate of Security (NDS) following a statement said the suicide bombers were deployed in capital Kabul by Haqqani Terrorist Network and were looking to carry out attack on government organizations.
The source further added that the attack was plotted by Haqqani Network in Wazirsitan tribal region in coordination with the Pakistan military intelligence — Inter Service Intelligence (ISI).
Afghan security forces also seized 5 suicide bombing vests, 1 heavy machine gun, 4 AK-47 rifles, 1 RPG rocket launcher, 20 magazines of AK-47 ammo, 13 hand grenades, 8 sets of mobile phones with Afghan and Pakistani sim cards.
