The Taliban militants have reportedly clashed with each other in Paktika province of Afghanistan.

The 203rd Thunder Crops in a statement said the Taliban militants clashed with each other in Gian district of Paktika province.

The statement further added that preliminary reports indicate the clash has left three Taliban militants wounded.

The Taliban group has not commented regarding the infighting so far.

The security situation in Paktika province has deteriorated during the recent months.

Taliban militants are active in some districts of the province and often conduct terrorist related activities.

Meanwhile, the Afghan forces routinely conduct counter-terrorism operations against the anti-government armed groups in this province.

The U.S. forces also conduct regular airstrikes in restive parts of the country to suppress Taliban and other anti-government militants.
