At least four people including two children were killed in separate blasts in southern Afghanistan, local government officials said.
Deputy provincial governor for southern Zabul province, Mohammad Jan Rasoolyar said at least two children were killed following a roadside improvised explosive device explosion in this province.
Mr. Rasoolyar further added at least two other civilians were also injured following the explosion.
In the meantime, local officials in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan said at least two civilians were killed following a roadside bomb explosion in Arghistan district on Sunday.
Abdul Ghani Muslimyar, district chief for Arghistan said the victims of the incident were members of the same family, and the incident took place after their vehicle struck with a roadside mine.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the two incidents so far.
