According to local authorities in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan, at least five people including a child were killed following a roadside improvised explosive device blast.
Provincial governor spokesman, Omar Zwak confirming the report said the incident took place early Sunday morning in Musa Qala district.
Mr. Zwak further added that the incident took place around 4 am local time after a vehicle struck with a roadside bomb.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incidnet.
Local officials blame Taliban group for the incident as Taliban fighters frequently use improvised explosive device (IED) as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan and coalition security forces which normally lead to civilian casualties.
