According to local authorities in eastern Laghman province of Afghanistan, Afghan security forces arrested three would-be suicide bombers during a military operation in this province.
Provincial governor spokesman, Sarhadi Zwak confirming the report said the suspected suicide bombers were arrested by Afghan intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives.
Mr. Zwak further added that Afghan intelligence operatives also seized a vehicle packed with explosives, which was prepared to carry out suicide attack.
He also added that the detained suicide bombers were looking to carry out suicide attack in Mehtarlam city.
According to Zwak, the militants had planted at least 140 kilogram of explosives in the vehicle, which was defused by Afghan national army engineering team.
Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the detention of the three suicide bombers so sar.
