The local Taliban government officials in the northern Afghan province of Baghlan said that a car collision in the province’s Dushi district has resulted in 3 deaths and 7 injuries.

The incident, according to the Taliban officials, took place on Saturday evening, November 19, in the Kila Gai area of Baghlan’s Dushi district.

According to Sher Ahmad Burhani, spokesman for the Taliban police chief in Baghlan province, a Corolla car crashed with a Vitz-type vehicle, killing three people and injuring seven others.

The Taliban security official Burhani also said that women and children are also included in the traffic accident’s injuries.

The province’s traffic officials were cited by the Taliban security officials as saying that speeding and careless driving were the primary factors that led to the accident.

Photographs of the traffic accident show that both of the cars have been completely damaged as a result of the collision that was caused by overspeeding and careless driving.

Such events occasionally occur on the Baghlan-Kabul highway, which connects 9 provinces in the north and northeast with central Afghanistan.

The two main causes of traffic accidents, which account for a significant percentage of traffic-related fatalities in Afghanistan, are reportedly damaged driving routes and careless driving.
