A car bomb suicide attack was prevented by the Afghan Air Force in the “Nirkh” district of Wardak province.

Fawad Aman, the deputy spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense claimed in a tweet that Taliban insurgents planned to target civilians in the “Nirkh” district with a car full of explosives materials, on Sunday.  

He added, that following a recon operation in the area, an explosive-laden vehicle was found and later destroyed by the Afghan Air Force

Meanwhile, AAF air raids have increased in the Southern provinces, which has caused intensive casualties to the opposing groups.

This comes as the civilian death toll in the Nimroz attacks has increased to 18 people, all the killed individuals were reportedly belonging to the same family.
