The 22 people kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province this morning have been recovered.

Their release was secured by Police and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) who cordoned off the area soon after the incident happened and launched a search operation.

There is no report whether a clash happened during the operation or not or whether they were released based on negotiation with the kidnappers.

It is also yet unknown who the kidnappers were and what was the motive behind it.

Makran Jaffar Khan, a local official, said the recovered people were transported to a safe location.

They were traveling in a bus that left Karachi this morning and upon its arrival in Pasni area of Gwadar District it was stopped by armed men after which they were taken to an undisclosed location.
