A judge of anti-corruption court was killed in an armed attack in Jalalabad city this morning.
Ahmadzia Abdulzai, spokesman for the governor of eastern Nangarhar province says that the judge was on his way to his office in Jalalabad city when unidentified gunmen sprayed bullets on him and killed him on the spot.
He said the incident took place in the Khalis Family area in the outskirts of Jalalabad this morning.
He added that the attackers who were riding a motorbike have escaped but efforts have been made for arresting them.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but another judge was killed two days ago in Jalalabad and the responsibility of the attack was claimed by Taliban militants.
Mahmood-ul-Hussain, Laghman’s appellate court chief was killed in a bomb blast in the Eidgah Jumat area of Jalalabad city on Wednesday 07 JAN 2015.
The explosives were attached to his vehicle where two of his sons also sustained injuries following the explosion.
