UNICEFA bomb has exploded on the convoy of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan but has caused no casualties.

Colonel Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, spokesman for the police headquarters of Nangarhar said that the incident took place in the outskirt of Jalalabad city this morning.

He said that the bomb was placed on a roadside and exploded as the caravan was passing by the area.

The explosion did not have casualties but it slightly damaged a vehicle of this caravan.

Immediately, there is no claim of responsibility for the explosion but Nanaghar has turned into a hot spot for Taliban and Daesh militant groups.
