Mohammad Halim Fidayee, governor of central Logar province has strongly condemned the killing of Colonel Mohammada Jan.
Fidayee says strict actions would be taken against the perpetrators.
Colonel Mohammada Jan who was garrison commander of the fourth brigade- The 203 Thunder Military Corps- lost his life in a bomb blast on Sunday.
The bomb was attached to the door of his residence in Zarghun Khar area of Mohammad Agha district.
There was no additional casualty in the blast.
No group has group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
Security forces to include army, police and personnel of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) have been conducting a search operation in Zarghun Khar area since yesterday.
