Joe Biden, the President of the United States, in a letter to Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, wrote that Washington stands alongside Islamabad to address global and regional challenges.

This letter was released on Friday, March 29th, by the US Embassy in Islamabad, and Pakistani media considered this letter as President Biden’s first diplomatic interaction with Shehbaz Sharif.

In the letter from the US President to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, it is stated that the sustained participation and cooperation between Pakistan and the United States are vital for ensuring the security of the people of both countries and the world.

Biden wrote to Shehbaz Sharif: “The United States stands with Pakistan to confront the most pressing global and regional challenges, including economic crises, climate change, health, access to education, and human rights.”

In this letter, Biden addressed various issues regarding the relationship between the two countries but did not congratulate him on his designation as Prime Minister of Pakistan.
