US President Joe Biden on Friday pledged to help rebuild Gaza and added that creating a Palestinian state alongside Israel is the “only” way to end the war.
Biden also urged Israelis to stop “intercommunal” violence in the city of Jerusalem, and stressed that there is no shift in his commitment and “commitment to the security of Israel”.
He added that until the region “unequivocally” acknowledges Israel’s existence there will never peace.
The idea of a two-state solution (Jerusalem as the shared capital) has been the demand of international diplomacy for many decades.
Such policy under Donald Trump was criticized as being pro-Israel and not equal.
The Egyptian-brokered ceasefire agreement came into effect between Israel and Palestinians on early Friday, many took to the streets to celebrate the ceasefire.

Reports indicated that 12 Israelis were killed and more than 100 were wounded in the rocket attacks, on the other hand, 232 Palestinians including 45 children, 39 women, and 17 elderly lost their lives in Israeli bombardments.
