The security forces arrested a smuggler who was attempting to smuggle 2 kilograms of heroin from Kabul to Delhi, the capital of India.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the Border Police forces on Wednesday arrested the smuggler from Hamid Karzai International Airport.

The statement further added that the smuggler had placed the heroin inside a hand bag in a professional manner and wanted to smuggle it to Delhi.

However, the interior ministry said the Border Police forces recognized the smuggler before he manages to smuggle the drugs to India.

This comes as the Indian police forces have arrested a number of smugglers in India and confiscated drugs worth billions during the recent weeks.
