Saturday, May 21 – Regional and security situation was discussed following a meeting held between Afghan Defence Minister General Abdul Rahim Wardak and the Belgian Chief of Staff.
General Wardak exchanged the ideas and improvements relating the security transition to Afghan National Forces with his counterpart and requested the participation of the Donor countries for better equipping of the Afghan armed forces.
The Belgium Chief of Staff expressed his commitment towards General’s Wardak’s proposal and assured him of his Government’s support for equipping the Afghan armed forces with the modern and better military equipment and modernization of Afghan security foundations in the coming ISAF defense ministers summit.
