First Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar directed all relevant government administrations to provide flood-affected people in Afghanistan with assistance.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar asked the bodies to identify the flood-affected people and provide them with urgent assistance.

The Deputy PM expressed the remarks in the very first meeting of the Disaster Management Commission which is led by him.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has recently been appointed as head of the commission by the supreme leader Mullah Hebtullah Akhundzada.

This comes after a recent rand and snowfall in nearly entire Afghanistan erupted floods and have so far killed 11 and wounded 23 more.

The snowfall has clogged several highways and flights to Kabul International Airport have also been disrupted.
