Two back to back explosions left at least ten civilians dead in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan, the local officials confirmed.

Jamal Naseri, a spokesperson for Kandahar Police, confirmed that the two explosions took place late on Sunday night in Arghistan district.

According to Naseri, the first explosion took place Shanarai area of Arghistan, targeting a civilian vehicle which left at least 8 civilians dead.

Naseri further added that the second blast took place in Burj area of the district which killed two pedestrians.
