CrickTracker, Cricket Australia, and Afghanistan cricket board reported that Australia will host Afghanistan for a single test match in the coming November 2021.

The historic test match was originally scheduled this November but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and was decided to be held later.

The match will be the first Test match between Australia and Afghanistan.

Afghanistan obtained test status in 2017, and has so far played four test matches, and has won two of the matches against Ireland and Bangladesh.

Australia is currently hosting India for the one-off Test series, the host is 1-0 leading the series up to now.

Both teams will be holding a second test match on December 6th at Melbourne cricket ground.
