The Taliban spokesperson announced that in airstrikes in Khost and Paktia, six individuals, including three women and three children, were killed.

The Taliban, denying the presence of Abdullah Shah Masood, the Pakistani Taliban commander, on Afghan soil, stated that the continuation of these attacks has significant consequences beyond Pakistan’s control.

Earlier, some media outlets reported that Abdullah Shah, a senior Pakistani Taliban commander, along with his wife and child, were killed in an airstrike last night in areas in Khost and Paktia provinces. However, the Pakistani Taliban movement has refuted the presence of this commander in Afghanistan by releasing a video.

In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, said, “Last night around 3 o’clock, Pakistani airplanes bombed the houses of ordinary people in Barmal district of Paktika province and Sepera district of Khost province.”

According to this statement, these attacks resulted in six casualties, including three women and three children.

Mr. Mujahid stated in this announcement that Abdullah Shah, the Taliban commander who “is claimed by the Pakistani side to be the target of this attack, is in Pakistan.”

The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been a significant source of insecurity in Pakistan, conducting numerous attacks on civilians, security forces, and infrastructure.

Despite allegations from Pakistani authorities blaming the Afghan Taliban for providing sanctuary and support to groups like the TTP, the Afghan Taliban consistently reject such accusations. They maintain that they do not allow their territory to be used as a base for attacks against any other country, including Pakistan.
