An explosion near a private hospital in Quetta left at least five people injured, including three children on Wednesday.

The blast occurred in a garbage dump on Zarghoun road, prompting an immediate response from rescue services, as reported by Tribune.

Police and security forces launched an investigation and collected evidence at the blast site.

The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called in to clear the area and aid in the investigation.

Recently, the attacks by the militants have increased in Pakistan targeting police officers, civilians and people.

Earlier an incident struck Balochistan’s Machh district when a child died and another was injured in a nearby bomb explosion.

The incident near the Machh police station sparked fear, causing shopkeepers to close their shutters as a precaution.

In 2023, Balochistan witnessed 15,063 intelligence-based operations, resulting in the elimination of 109 terrorists, reflecting ongoing efforts to maintain stability in the region, the report said.
