In Maine, USA, security officials have reported a tragic shooting that left 22 people dead and many others injured. The incident occurred unexpectedly on a Wednesday at a bowling alley in Lewiston.

NBC News has reported at least 22 fatalities and 50 to 60 injured individuals. Reports indicate that the police have released two images of a suspected individual, describing them as “armed and dangerous.”

Officials have emphasized that the suspect is still at large, urging city residents to take shelter in their homes and lock their doors.

According to reports from The Globe and Mail, the suspected individual, identified by the police as Robert Card, received firearms training at a United States Army Reserve training centre as a shooting instructor.

Meanwhile, the Lewiston Police Department has reported two shooting incidents in the state.

The White House has also issued a statement confirming that President Joe Biden has spoken with local authorities in Maine regarding the circumstances surrounding this incident.

According to U.S. government statistics, there have been over 500 mass shootings in the United States this year alone. This comes after numerous mass shootings in various states across America, resulting in numerous casualties.
