
Local sources report that a traffic collision involving vehicles traveling at high speeds in Faryab province in northern Afghanistan left one person dead and ten people injured.
According to the sources, on the morning of Saturday, August 13, this incident took place on the Faryab-Jawzjan highway in the Khatem Qir area of the Andkhoi district of Faryab province.
The preliminary evidence indicates that this accident was caused by a collision between a Toyota Corolla-type and Toyota wagon-type cars.
According to sources, the injured have been taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The majority of those wounded in this accident are reportedly in serious condition, and it’s expected that more people will succumb, according to the health officials of the hospital.
Driver recklessness has recently been identified as a significant contributing factor in an increasing number of fatal traffic occurrences in Afghanistan.
