Afghan National Army has repelled a Taliban coordinated attack in eastern Kunar province.
Officials say that a group of Taliban militants attacked a security post on the top of a hill in Gulsak area of Chapa Dara District yesterday.
According to 201st Silab Military Corps, the security forces gave a befitting response to the attack and pushed back the Taliban.
Two Taliban insurgents were killed and another wounded in the clash. Security forces and local residents did not receive casualties during the skirmish.
Another report from 201st Corps suggests that two bomb makers have been detained from the jurisdiction of Shaikh Ali District of Parwan province.
The two terrorists arrested in a security check point by the military are identified as Ahmadzia S/O Gul Ahmad and Abdul Khalil S/O Abdul Samad, residents of Waghaz valley of Seyagardh District of Parwan.
