Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief meeting review situation of certain provinces

The meeting of the Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief was organized on Wednesday afternoon and was chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani during which the security situation of certain provinces was discussed.
According to a statement released by the Office of the President, ARG Palace, the participants of the meeting discussed and reviewed the security situation of Khas Uruzgan, Malistan and Jaghoori districts of Ghazni, Qala Kar of Farah province, and Chahar Sada district of Ghor province.
The statement further added that the security and defense officials were instructed to present a clear picture of the security situation of the named districts and present their security plan
The officials were also instructed to take immediate actions to eliminate threats and ensure security of the districts, ARG Palace added.
According to the Office of the President, the Resolute Support mission reaffirmed the alliance support, specifically in providing air support to the security forces during the operations.
This comes as clashes are underway between the anti-government armed militants, security forces, and local residents in the named districts.
