A Special Tribunal acquitted the former Afghan Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Abdul Razaq Wahidi in misuse of authority case.

The Appellate Court of Judiciary Center for Major Crimes and Anti-Corruption announced its verdict regarding the case earlier today.

The court dismissed the allegations against Mr. Wahidi and acquitted him in misuse of authority.

Mr. Wahidi was charged with the misuse of authority while serving in the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology of Afghanistan.

The Primary Court of the Judiciary Center for Major Crimes and Anti-Corruption had awarded a 3-year jail term for Mr. Wahidi four months ago.
