
Xavi Hernandez has revealed Ansu Fati will return to the Barcelona squad for their semi-final against Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana.
Ansu has been out for two months after he sustained a hamstring injury and is set to play under Xavi for the first time on Wednesday. According to Barcelona, he is yet to be given the all-clear from the doctors.
Despite just playing 376 minutes this season, Ansu has impressed in the eight games he’s played in, scoring four goals, against Levante, Valencia, Dynamo Kiev, and Celta Vigo.
The 19-year-old is yet to beat Real Madrid, as he has been part of a Barcelona side who have suffered three defeats and one draw to Los Blancos.
Araujo is using a special protective splint after having an operation on his hand last Friday, whilst De Jong has recovered from a muscle strain.
Barcelona has until 19:30 CET on Tuesday to submit their final squad.
