In another string of IED attacks on Monday, at least one civilian and a security force member were killed in a blast that targeted an ANA vehicle.

The incident happened at around 12:00 pm local time in the Jangalak area of PD7 Kabul city, capital police stated.

No further details were provided in regards to the incident.

This comes in a time when a blast targeted an armored vehicle belonging to Khushnood Nabizada, Chief of Staff at the State Ministry for Peace and founder of Khaama Press.

There were no casualties, the blast happened at around 7:28 am local time in Shaheed square in PD10 of Kabul city.

Nabizada and two of his children were in the vehicle when the incident happened but no one was hurt.

The senior peace officials said that “both of my children were shocked and frightened”.

UNAMA condemned the targeted attack on Nabizada and called it “another deplorable incident, akin to an attack on the peace process itself”, and “urged” the afghan peace process to move forward.

Chargé d’Affaires Ross Wilson also condemned the attack on Khushnood Nabizada.

He tweeted that ” we are appalled to read of an attack on Chief of staff to the State Minister for Peace”.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for both of the blasts.
