According to the reports, Dawlat Abad district in Faryab province has fallen in the hands of the Taliban, a local official confirmed.

Abdul Ahad Elbek, a member of the provincial council told Media on Tuesday that after heavy clashes between the Afghan National Army and the Taliban militants in Dawlat Abad district, the center of the district has fallen in the hands of Taliban.

According to Elbek, the Afghan security forces have evacuated the area.

This comes as, Qaisar, another district in Faryab province fell to the hands of Taliban early this week.
